i'm in a funk today. there are too many reasons to list, but chief among them is the fact that my sweet little lt greyson went up for adoption today, much sooner than i expected (he "wasn't ready" when i visited him yesterday), and he has already gone to a new home.
*sniff*
at least i got to snag a picture. it's blurry, and you can't see his pretty fur and fluffy tail, but it's still a cute shot.
Aw, he is a cutie.
I'm sorry you're in a funk. I know you were already attached to the little guy. One of the many reasons I'd have a hard time volunteering at the humane society! I hope today is better.

Aw, he's awfully cute. He looks like my little Sam. Sam has three legs. You need to come meet my cats sometime. That'll make you feel better. :)

I hope Lt. Greyson went to a wonderful home where he will have cat trees to climb, bird feeders to look at, neat little hideouts to explore, and a family that engages him in lively play and lots of hugs.
One day you'll be walking down the street and you'll hear a purr, coming out of nowhere. That will be Lt. Greyson, thanking you for the role you played in making sure he has a great life.
And letting you know he's been promoted to full colonel.

Are you out of your funk yet? That's got to be so hard to get attached & see them go... :( How awesome of you to volunteer, though.

thanks everyone. i really should have known this would happen, but i can't help feeling sad anyway. i usually do a very good job of keeping them at arm's length--kind of an "i love you, but you won't be mine" situation--but every once in awhile, i really become smitten.

Oh no, I am sorry. He must not have been the right cat, however delightful he was. There will be another perfect cat for you, I am sure.
