i have sad news. (for me.) i just learned that my toothpaste of choice, tom's of maine cinnamint, is no longer. they've evidently discontinued a bunch of their flavors, and my personal favorite is one that got the axe. i had been unable to find it recently, and i chalked it up to "out of stock" until i finally used the google today and saw the bad news.
sooo, i'm on my last tube and i need to start looking for a replacement. i hate trying new toothpastes, because it takes forever to get through a tube, and if you don't like it? well then it just sucks to be you twice a day for the next two months, you know?
does anyone have any recommendations? the only other "vegan" (i.e., no animal testing or dodgy ingredients) toothpaste i've ever used is JASON powersmile, and that was a horrible experience i'd be thrilled to never repeat. it tastes like burning.
Oh No! Cinnamint rocked! I haven't found it lately either, so I switched to Tom's Whole Care in cinnamon clove. It's not as good as cinnamint, and it's not minty, but it's not bad either.

I like Jason's tea tree toothpaste. It sounds like it would be nasty, but I like it. It isn't anything like cinnamint though.

well, dang. i was all set to recommend j/a/s/o/n powersmile cause i LOVES it, and then you already don't like it. oh well. sorry, that is the only one i have ever tried. (the first time i tried it i was like, whoa!, myself. but after a couple uses i got used to it and liked it.)

Tom's of Maine was purchased by Colgate a year ago anyway, who is a big animal tester.
I like Jason's Sea Fresh. I suggest that one.

thanks for all the suggestions so far! i went to the store today and couldn't find kiss my face women's toothpaste (ha! to that name), which disappointed me a little. i'll keep looking. :) i did pick up a tube of the cinnamon clove whole care (figuring it might be most similar to what i'm used to), and i also grabbed a tube of jason's nutrismile in orange-cinnamon-mint, because i've heard it's good and i found it intriguing.
while i was browsing, i also saw the sea fresh and the tea tree, but i decided to hold off for now while i'm still hoping for cinnamon.
river--which powersmile do you use? i swear back when i tried it there was only one variety (white and red box, a white paste) but today i noticed that there were at least four or five different flavors!

just the plain powersmile toothpaste. the only other powersmile i know of is the gel. but i prefer the paste. the rest are other kinds of smiles, unless these are brand new releases. i didn't see any other options online either.
so, it's prolly what you tried before, sadly.

i know there's a gel and a paste (i think those are the peppermint), but now there's a cinnamon mint powersmile and a vanilla mint powersmile, too. crazy, eh? i think the one i originally tried was the paste, which is the one that scared me. hee.

You can try to create your own. I've seen a recipe on this blog.

She's used it for her daughter who was suffering from ECC, and it does look effective. I haven't tried it yet, though.
